KAREL IV.
Pivovar Karel IV.
I saw you thirsty, so I came back
The Becherplatz restaurant includes the small Karel IV Brewery, which continues the tradition of brewing beer in Karlovy Vary. Brewing beer in Karlovy Vary began in 1370, when King and Roman Emperor Charles IV granted the city the title of royal city with the privilege of brewing beer. This tradition was interrupted for 13 long years after the brewery of the same name ceased production in 1999 at the plant on Sokolovská Street in Rybáře.
Thanks to the new owner Karel Holoubek, the Karlovy Vary beer Karel IV was brewed again in the cellars of Becherplatz in 2012 and you can enjoy this traditional drink directly in the restaurant, where you will be offered everything that is connected with the Karlovy Vary beer Karel IV.
